Backstory

'Sindoor' was entirely self-funded by director, Mangla Bansal. The film is truly a labour of love. Each cast and crew member volunteered their time for the project. Even after applying for various funds and grants, the project received no funding. Having said this, the filmmaking and local community came together and gave their time, supplies, and locations to make this film a reality.

In the independent filmmaking community, it is said that making the film is only 10% of the work. We need your help to get the film out to film festivals!
