‘Sindoor’ is a short dramatic film about a young Indo-Canadian woman’s search to find peace after losing the love of her life in a car accident.

Megha is a young modern Indo-Canadian woman. She marries Armaan, a young man with great potential. Soon after her wedding, Megha loses her husband in a car accident. Being the son of a prominent industrialist, the news hits the papers.

The main scene in the film takes place in a parking lot of a wedding hall many months after Armaan’s death. In this scene Megha imagines Armaan flirting with a girl in the wedding hall and runs outside to be followed by the ghost of her husband. It is during her time in the parking lot that Megha realizes and accepts that Armaan indeed is gone. The fact that he is a figment of Megha’s imagination is revealed to the audience at the end of the film.

The music for the film is a new rendition of ‘Khoob teri pagri, meethe tere bhol’ a Sikh hymn. The film was shot on the RED One camera. The film is 8 minutes long and is starting to be shown at film festivals.
